Why Another Arcade Game
Most minimalist arcade games follow the same formula: tap to avoid obstacles, watch the speed increase, die, repeat. The loop is clean, but after a few runs it starts to feel like the same experience on a faster treadmill. We wanted something that evolved as you played.
Vorbit keeps the purity of one-touch controls but breaks the monotony with boss encounters every 5 rounds. Each boss has unique attack patterns that demand a completely different strategy. The game stops being about raw speed and starts being about pattern recognition, timing, and nerve.
The Combo System
Every successful move in Vorbit increases your combo multiplier, stacking up to 10x. One mistake resets it to zero. This creates a constant tension: do you play it safe and protect your current multiplier, or push for the next level and risk everything? That tension is what makes Vorbit feel different from other arcade games.
